NDC - Galileo/Travelport



What is NDC?


IATA New Distribution Capability (NDC) is a technical messaging standard that enables travel sellers to access more

personalized content (example: additional NDC fares from the airlines, seat upgrade, extra leg spaced seat, extra baggage etc.)


Where can I access NDC fares?

You can access NDC fares in your GDS using SmartCloud or the graphical display in SmartPoint (desktop version)... NDC fares cannot be held in using cryptic code entries

SmartCloud is the best option... to get access, please login to your desktop version of SmartPoint and then do +J and hit enter, and then raise a ticket with your Terminal Identifier and PCC for the request to be sent to Travelport.

Or you can search using the booking tool in Air Tickets Smart Fares - MAKE SURE YOU ENTER YOUR PCC IN THE BOOKING SOURCE BOX 

Some specials or private fares need a NDC Code to price, to do this, click on Add NDC Promotional Code

Training Modules:

NDC learning courses are available from the Course Catalog in MyTravelport.

  1. Go to MyTravelport at http://my.travelport.com (link opens in a new tab).

  2. Log in to MyTravelport. (If you don’t have an account, select Create account and register. Follow these instructions.)

  3. Select the View Knowledge Base button on the home page.

  4. Select Learning in the Troubleshooting Resources section.

  5. Select the View button for NDC (New Distribution Capability) tile.

  6. A variety of learning options displays based on your GDS or location. Select the Continue button for the learning module you want to begin.

    Note: The NDC (New Distribution Capability) tile applies to Travelport+ only and contains six courses: 

    • Complete an NDC booking and then cancel it

    • Compare public fares/NDC offers, add information, book and hold

    • Complete an NDC corporate booking with a discount code

    • NDC update with Smartpoint 10.0 release

    • Select free seats in an NDC booking

    • Divide an NDC booking

If you can’t find the course you are looking for in the Course Catalog, type Learning plus the topic (e.g., Learning NDC) in the Search box then press Enter or click the magnifying glass to see results.
